Museum Exhibit, Events Explore Halloween's Scary Past
Haunted History, a new special exhibit opening September 9, 2005 at the Kansas Museum of History, highlights fun and frightening displays and explores the significance of the popular Halloween holiday. Remember, there are many children who's parents can't afford to purchase them Halloween costumes. If you have any old ones sitting in your attic or closet, or if you're feeling generous and want to pick up a brand new one, you can help a child enjoy this great holiday when they might not be able to otherwise. You may be able to contact your local radio station, tv station or food bank to see if there is any kind of costume collection/drop going on in your area, or organize one of your own.
